Properties and application in use of the product

When setting up the aquarium, place the Substrate in a 1 cm thick layer on the bottom of the aquarium. The table shows measurements for a number of standard aquariums and recommended amounts of Substrate. A minimum of 3-4 cm of gravel is then placed over the Substrate. The gravel acts as a barrier between the concentrated Substrate and the water. When planting, the plants are placed in the gravel in the usual way, and the plants will quickly put down new roots in the substrate. When planting, disturbance of the substrate should be minimized to avoid mixing clay and sphagnum particles into the water.
